Ecological Network

Green Infrastructure

Green infrastructure encompasses the components of the natural and built environment that provide ecosystem services such as drainage, water filtration, green space, and wildlife habitat.  Engineered green infrastructure components are typically smaller than the natural and semi-natural areas that define many of the Ecological Network assets.  Collectively, diverse features of the natural and built environment that comprise the green infrastructure network support the overall connectivity and resiliency of the Ecological Network.
