Before an Emergency

Why Should You Prepare?
The ground underneath you starts to shake, the objects around you are falling off shelves and the pictures on the wall are falling to the floor.  What would you do?  If you prepare in advance, you increase your chances of surviving the "Big One".  Make it a family project or a challenge amongst friends.  Involving those close to you will make it more fun and it's also important that everyone know what to do.

The Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) created the All-Hazard Emergency Preparedness Workbook. The workbook is an excellent tool to help you and your family prepare for a variety of disasters. The workbook includes information about how to prepare a family emergency plan, conduct a home hazard hunt, respond in an emergency evacuation situation, and prepare and maintain emergency supply kits.
