Kiwanis Towers
kiwanis towersThe Kiwanis Towers development provides 296 units of affordable seniors’ rental housing, which more than doubles the number of units originally available at the site. Located at 7378 and 7388 Gollner Avenue, the two Kiwanis buildings include shared parking, laundry facilities, a fitness area, shared amenity space, patio areas, landscaped outdoor spaces, walking paths and community gardens.

The City contributed approximately $20.8 million towards capital construction costs and a capital grant of $3.3 million to offset development cost charges and associated fees. BC Housing is providing up to $16.3 million in long-term financing and the Richmond Kiwanis Senior Citizens Housing Society contributed the land valued at approximately $12.9 million and approximately $21 million in equity. Polygon acted as the development and construction manager for the project.

In September 2015, the Kiwanis Towers Project received the 2015 UBCM Award for Excellence in Innovation and Partnership.

Note that the Kiwanis Towers is not currently accepting applications. For more information, please call 604-278-7772.

Storeys
storeysStoreys is currently under construction and will have 129 units of affordable rental units, which will house some of the City’s most vulnerable residents at risk of homelessness with amenity space for supportive services.

The name, Storeys suggests that every resident living in the building will come with a story. The name also sets the stage for each to tell their stories of unprecedented collaboration, past and ongoing contributions, commitment, financial and operational support.

A Non-Profit Consortium consisting of Turning Point Recovery Society, Atira Women’s Resource Society, Coast Mental Health, SUCCESS, Tikva Housing Society, and Pathways Clubhouse will oversee the Storeys development, ownership, and management of the affordable housing and amenity spaces.

Storeys is a partnership between the City of Richmond, BC Housing and the Non-Profit Consortium and is anticipated to open in Spring 2017. Once the application process has begun, contact information will be made available here.

Cressey Cadence
cresseyThe City has secured 15 affordable rental units at the Cressy Cadence Development (5540 Hollybridge Way) for single parent families. Contact information for these units will be made available once the operator is selected.
