Farmland Housing RegulationsOn January 23, 2017, Council authorized consultation regarding potential updates to farmland housing regulations. The City wants to hear from farmers and residents before it makes a final decision.
A survey will be available at LetsTalkRichmond.ca on the topic of farmland housing regulations from February 27 to March 12, 2017. The survey will ask for your opinion on such issues as the:
- maximum house size on farmland;
- maximum setbacks from the road for homes and non-farm accessory buildings;
- maximum area of the farm home plate;
- maximum size of non-farm accessory buildings.
We encourage everyone to complete the survey online at Let's Talk Richmond.
(The survey will be available for completion between February 27, 2017 to March 12, 2017).
If you wish to receive a hard copy of the survey you may request one by calling the City's Policy Planning Department at 604-204-8626 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
