Public Engagement

Survey
A survey will be available at LetsTalkRichmond.ca on the topic of farmland housing regulations from February 27 to March 12, 2017.  The survey will ask for your opinion on such issues as the:
  • maximum house size on farmland;
  • maximum setbacks from the road for homes and non-farm accessory buildings;
  • maximum area of the farm home plate;
  • maximum size of non-farm accessory buildings.
A farm home plate is the area of the property that includes all homes and non-farm accessory buildings (e.g., detached garage, covered swimming pool) and non-farm accessory structures to the home (e.g., driveway, landscaping, septic system).

We encourage everyone to complete the survey online at Let's Talk Richmond.
(The survey will be available for completion between February 27, 2017 to March 12, 2017).

If you wish to receive a hard copy of the survey you may request one by calling the City's Policy Planning Department at 604-204-8626 or email communityplanning@richmond.ca.
