Garden City Lands

The Garden City Lands is a 55-hectare (136–acre) unoccupied property located on the eastern edge of Richmond City Centre and within the boundaries of the Agricultural Land Reserve. The City acquired the entire property in 2010.

Richmond residents have a unique opportunity to create a new legacy for their community on the Garden City Lands. A comprehensive, year-long public planning process is now underway to plan the future use of these lands.

Currently, the planning process is at Phase Two: Final Vision and Concept Plan. The Garden City Lands Legacy Landscape Plan was presented to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Committee on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Committee referred the report back to staff for further review and additional consultation.
