The City is implementing a new program registration system prior to winter 2019 program registration. Have you updated your account yet?
Program registration accounts with a valid email will gain online access to the new program registration system launching Tuesday, November 27.
How to update your email address
- Call the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Drop in at any Parks, Recreation or Cultural facility during operating hours and update your account information in person
Primary account holders with a valid email address will receive an email by Monday, November 26 to set up their online account access. Walk-through guides will be available online and in print, please check back for updates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the program registration system changing?
The City’s current program registration system is being retired by the vendor, so we are moving to a new system. The new registration system is an enhanced, user-friendly platform that is easily accessed using an email and password login.
Do I still need my Client ID and PIN number?
No. Once the new system launches on Tuesday, November 27, clients will only require a valid email and password to login.
Will my account information be transferred over to the new system?
Client accounts that have been active over the past two years, have a valid membership and/or credit on the account will automatically be transferred to the new system.
I want access to online services after November 27 but have not provided an email address. What do I do?
No problem! Update your account with an email address by Friday, November 23 and receive an email to activate online access by Monday, November 26.
Update your account details in one of the following ways:
- Call the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30pm
- In person at any Community Services facility during operating hours
If account holders wish to access online registration after Tuesday, November 27, they may contact the Registration Call Centre or visit any Parks, Recreation or Cultural facility during operating hours to activate their online access.
If I have credit on my account, will it be transferred over?
Yes, your credit will be transferred to your new account as of November 27.
What if I don’t want to provide an email address?
An email address will not be required for in-person and phone registrations. Please contact the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, or visit any Parks, Recreation or Cultural facility during operating hours for staff assistance.

#1 - Prepare
Browse through the Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide (paper or online) or search webreg and select the programs you want to register in. Ensure that you have an account with the City of Richmond set up and that you have all of your numbers ready:
- Client and Personal Identification Number (PIN)
- Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card number with expiry date
- Course Number(s) from the Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide

#2 - Have a back-up plan
Have a list of back-up programs in case the one that you want is full and you have to waitlist.
Special Tip: You can always add a name to a wait list, there’s no charge for this option. Experience shows that often people get in from a wait list so be sure to add your name.
#3 - Choose how to register 1 of 3 ways
- Online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.richmond.ca/register
- By phone by calling the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
- In person at Parks, Recreation or Cultural facility. Note: debit, cheque and cash are also accepted when registering in person
Refunds, Withdrawals and Transfer Guidelines
We encourage customers to contact the Registration Call Centre, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm to receive a refund or to withdraw or transfer from a class or program. Customers may choose to contact the facility offering the class if withdrawing outside of Registration Call Centre hours.
Please note: refunds, withdrawals and transfers cannot be processed online
