Richmond calls for nominations for awards of urban design excellence
01 December 2016
The City of Richmond is seeking submissions for its urban design awards program, the Lulu Awards. Submissions of outstanding urban design projects will be considered for the upcoming 2017 awards season. The Lulu Awards are intended to recognize, celebrate and inspire excellence in urban design in the City of Richmond. Design awards will be granted for exceptional projects that represent visionary thinking and ‘raise the bar’ for design excellence.
Private and public sector projects are eligible for an urban design award if they have been approved and completed up to five years prior to the awards year. Submissions for awards can be submitted by a project owner, a member of the team that is associated with the project, or a member of the general public.
To be eligible for an award, submissions must be received by the City of Richmond on or before the deadline date of Thursday, December 22, 2016 and all entries must meet submission requirements.
The categories are:
- Buildings: residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, public and institutional
- Open Space: public and institutional open space and landscape innovation
