Swim and skate all summer for only $19
22 June 2016
The forecast is bright this summer for Richmond children ages 5 to 16 years old. For a one-time cost of $19, the City of Richmond’s new Summer Pass offers unlimited swimming and skating at four local pools and the Richmond Ice Centre. Teens 13 to 16 years old can also use the fitness centre at Watermania.
“This new initiative by the City and community partners is a wonderful opportunity for families looking for affordable activities for their children that will keep them physically active and socially engaged throughout their break from school”, says Mayor Malcolm Brodie. “We hope to see children use the pass many times throughout the summer”.
This new pass is not only easy to use but also offers excellent value along with a fun way for children to keep active from June 30 through September 7.
Pass holders can attend any swimming or skating public session at Minoru Aquatic Centre, Watermania, South Arm Outdoor Pool, Steveston Outdoor Pool (planned opening late July) and the Richmond Ice Centre. Ice skate rentals are extra.
Summer Passes can be purchased at Minoru Aquatic Centre, Watermania, South Arm Outdoor Pool, Minoru Arenas and Richmond Ice Centre.
