Feedback needed to finalize Richmond’s Garden City Lands design concepts

2016 May 26

A preferred plan for the first phase of park development of the Garden City Lands has now been developed, following initial consultation. The City of Richmond now invites the public to provide feedback on the preferred plan.

There are two drop-in style public open houses that will take place on Monday, May 30 and Thursday, June 2. Both open houses will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the galleria at Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Road.

Those attending the open houses are encouraged to speak with City park planners and consultants, review the information that will be on display and complete a survey.

Those who cannot attend the open houses can visit www.LetsTalkRichmond.ca from Monday, May 30 to midnight, Sunday, June 12, 2016 to view the open house information, download documents and complete the online version of the survey.

Information gathered during these two open houses and from www.LetsTalkRichmond.ca will help staff finalize the park development plan prior to seeking Council approval to proceed with construction. Park construction is expected to begin later this year.
