Many special places make Richmond unique. Now a regional destination, Richmond showcases dozens of breathtaking outdoor spaces that make ideal event venues. From an intimate wedding to a
festival of thousands, Richmond offers the perfect spot for any size celebration.

The City features over 120 parks and over 50 km (31 mi.) of trails, greenways and streets, plazas and squares, waterfronts and waterways.

Plaza Locations

Oval PlazaRichmond Olympic Oval Riverside Plaza
The Richmond Olympic Oval is a breathtaking venue on the banks of the Fraser River and winner of the Institution of Structural Engineers top award for Sports or Leisure Structures. The Riverside Plaza is Richmond’s premier outdoor assembly space. It was designed as a festival place to accommodate up to 8,000 people.

Richmond Olympic Oval Legacy Plaza
This street-side plaza was designed as a ceremonial plaza. Three large screens, on the south side, provide opportunities for screening videos and live-event feeds. The plaza can hold up to 2,000 people for celebrations, commemorations and special events.
