Volunteer Opportunities
The Richmond Museum welcomes individuals interested in volunteering. There are numerous different areas in the Museum where volunteers can participate:

School Programs
Volunteers are involved in delivering or assisting with the delivery of interpretive school programs at the Richmond Museum, Britannia Shipyard, and London Farm. 
Weekdays

Public Programs

Volunteers assist staff with set up for lectures, workshops and tours.  Such events include museum openings where the volunteer will assist in making coffee and serving and overseeing refreshments, putting chairs out for lectures, greeting visitors, preparing and assisting with workshops
Weekdays, weekends & evenings

Outreach/Special Events
Volunteers assist staff in the delivery of hands-on activities, interpretation, public relations of programs and events in and around Richmond.  Such programs include teaching a craft to the public, giving out promotional material, representing and talking about the Museum to the visiting public.
Weekends, evenings; offsite of the Museum

Exhibit Assistant 
Assist staff with the installation of Museum exhibits. Exhibits change four times a year. Volunteers would help in building exhibit displays, preparing cases for artifacts and helping with the mounting and preparation of photographic and textual material.
Weekdays; short term
