Civic Public Art Program

The City of Richmond is a leader in creating opportunities for public art and serves as a model to private developers and other municipalities. The City of Richmond is committed to contributing to the cultural health and well being of the community, now and in the future. All capital projects are be evaluated for inclusion of public art. This includes civic infrastructure, new buildings, building upgrades and parks.

The public art funding rate for civic public art projects is 1% of the approved Capital Project construction cost.
