Preschool Mandarin Program Instructor

Applications are now being accepted for a Preschool Leader - Mandarin position with City Centre Community Association. The successful applicant will be assisting in the Mandarin Fun Parent and Tot, and/ or Preschool program. This position involves assisting with the planning, delivery and leadership of an inclusive program, featuring learning and exploring the Mandarin culture through play, music, art and stories.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluate developmentally appropriate play, music and art activities with supporting weekly lesson plans that are creative, flexible and adaptable
  • Assist with the supervision, leadership, and volunteers
  • Co- supervise, instruct and build relationships with families and children through planned activities
  • Provide a safe, positive, and well-managed learning environment
  • Assist with the instruction developmentally appropriate specific language skills

Required Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge in conversational Mandarin
  • Grade 11 plus 100+ hours of experience working with preschoolers or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C
  • A successful Police Information Check

Hours

  • Every Saturday, July 8 – August 19 from 9:15-10:15am. With additional weekly planning hours. Schedule may be subject to change.

Compensation and Benefits

  •  $15.61 - $16.56, depending on experience and qualifications
